เรื่องของเวลานั้นเป็นสิ่งที่คนเราทุกคนมีเท่ากัน ก็คือ วันละ 24 ชั่วโมง โดยปกติเวลาทำงานก็คือ 8 ชั่วโมงต่อวัน แต่ทำไมบางคนจึงทำงานได้มากมาย บางคนจึงทำงานได้เพียงน้อยนิด ทั้งๆ ที่แต่ละคนมีเวลาทำงานเท่ากันก็คือ 8 ชั่วโมงต่อวัน โดยไม่รวมเรื่องของการทำงานล่วงเวลา ยิ่งไปกว่านั้นพนักงานบางคนทำงานล่วงเวลาก็แล้ว

คนที่ประสบความสำเร็จนั้นนอกจากจะมีเป้าหมายที่ชัดเจนแล้ว สิ่งที่ต้องมีอย่างหลีกเลี่ยงไม่ได้เลยก็คือ ความมุ่งมั่นตั้งใจจริง ไม่ทำอะไรสั้นๆ แล้วก็จบไป ยกตัวอย่างเช่น บางคนตั้งเป้าหมายไว้ชัดเจนมากว่าจะต้องประสบความสำเร็จในเรื่องนั้นๆ ให้ได้ จากนั้นก็มีการวางแผน และเริ่มลงมือทำ แต่พอลงมือทำได้ไม่นาน ก็เริ่มไม่อยากทำ
